Used to the traditional SLR format? When you think about, it makes sense to you? Or do you think that it is still perfectly suited to place a film roll inside?
This kind of thought took a designer called Jean Michael Bonnemoy to shout out that today’s cameras are WRONG! His new cylindrical camera design has room for all the commands and dials imaginable, along with memory cards, hot shoe, EVF and built in lens cover.
For the pure-hearted SLR fans, this may sound a lot as a big heresy, but to me it seems an intelligent and functional idea. There are some issues to understand, mainly when considering professional oriented usage. Water proof bodies, interchangeable lenses, how to solve a big Tele on tripod, uncompressed video out and some more are in my list.
Despite the questions, I certainly would like to see any major manufacturer to embrace this ideia and give it some tries.
