Adobe has just released the Beta version of their new Creative Suite.
The new installment is 64bit only, for Mac or Windows and will not work without an online registration via an Adobe account.
My favorite additions:
- New engine that speeds up processor hungry effects, such as Liquify
- Improved interface (and not only the LightRoom style dark color) using more of the practical and fast things learned from Lightroom
- New and promised to be effective Content –Aware tools (check the awesome video bellow)
- Camera Raw 7 allows for improved control and even more detailed photo editing
- Ability to Blur effects and mimic/tweak photos as if taken with wide F-stops and Tilt-shift lenses
- MUCH better Text Tool, including more flexibility, text styles and more
- Video is growing in importance for CS, with a surprising timeline editing interface. Not groundbreaking or top notch, but a big step. More in this page by Cnet
- Improved Crop Tool, with non-destructive option
You can see more in Adobe’s website, or just head straight to the download page. Keep in mind that it may be good, but is still a Beta, so don’t just throw your most important and time constrained job into it.
Here is a video from NAPP with a lot of talk about the new features. The site has a lot of things about the new version.
