Russian photographer Andrey Pavlov creates the scenes using ants as the “key actors”.
He spends hours putting the set together so he can capture the ants in several different activities, such as weight lifting, fishing and sewing. The effect is a real life fairy tale, with no in post special effects.

Pavlov stated that he does not go far to portrait the tiny actors, as he goes to an ant farm just a couple of meters from his home in Moscow, Russia.

Andrey said that when he started reading fairy tales to his sons he noticed that he had never enjoyed alternate realities. “That was when I decided to create my own fairy tales”, he said.
