OK, Leicas are not for the faint of pocket, and that is no news. But this Leica 0-series has taken that statement to a whole new level: above US$3 million.
Despite the fact that on 2011 another 0-series had already been sold for almost US$1.7 million, estimates for this auction were about US$1 million, what was a huge understatement! The “new” camera was number 117 (look closely at the image and you will see the serial number), another from the mere 25 cameras left from the first batch, two years before actual production began.
