Some years ago graphic designer Grey Jay came up with a Photoshop action that adds a toy camera look to your pictures. He called it “The Holgarizer”, after the low quality Holga cameras.
Holgarizer adds that weird processing and colors, plus the low quality feel similar to the ones that are major hits among Instagram and other photo sharing places. And its free, you can download it here. The only commitment Grey asks of you is writing him if you use or like the action. His blog is Equal and Opposite.
This look is something a little strange for me, and I ask for your opinion. I really don’t like the way pictures look, its too widely (and badly) used, and the idea behind using some thousand dollar equipment to later turn it into crappy-gear-like pictures?
