This one really blew my mind. I got a suggestion to check this amazing app for Mac users and found it to be pretty impressive.
The name is SnapHeal and I think you should look at it. It is not as complete and buzzed as Photoshop CS6, but the cost more than makes up to the difference. Despite the very low price, you can watch a video to see its promo-sales-talk in action and get impressed. Than you can try it for free, and really get blown away. Well, probably you can buy it right after… and it seems the new version is about to come and prices might increase.
What I saw and liked:
- “Content-Aware-Like” fill, just as Photoshop (delete unwanted content, remove people and objects from photos, erase text…)
- Clone&Stamp
- Brush healing tools, just like Lightroom and Photoshop
- Nice usual photo editing tools
- RAW support
- Integrates with Lightroom, Photoshop, Apperture and iPhoto
- Social media sharing
- Nice user interface, with some interesting personal touch
As a simple tool it cannot be perfect, easy and complete, so I keep criticism mild. But it is really odd not to have any way to edit levels, what I consider to be fundamental on photo editing. Maybe they will fix it on version 2.0.
All these for US$14.99, only a fraction of major competitors. Cool, isn’t it? You can see the app here or head straight to the Apple Store.
