Every photographer that has ever considered shooting a wedding has probably feared messing up and delivering some – huh – less than ideal photos.
To all of these guys I made this compilation of how bad things can get, for the knowledge and just for the fun of it too.

Believe it, things can really get messy if you don’t know what you are doing. One of the most impressive cases I have ever seen is from the couple Thomas and Anneka Geary, who paid “professional” photographers Ian McCloskey and Nikki Carter £750 to absolutely ruin every shot from the most important they of the newlywed’s life.
Some of the “picturesque” aspects of that story would be comical if they were not so serious. The so called photographers delivered horrible pictures, some blurred, some out of focus and NO SINGLE IMAGE from the groom’s parents. By the way, they did not use flashes to shoot the 120+ guests party because one of the photographers claimed to be epileptic. I guess this illustrates the size of the trouble you can get if you are not prepared. The photographers had to shut their business and are not into photography anymore. Before closing they could not give a full refund to the couple. The groom told the Daily Telegraph “All we wanted was one picture to put in a frame of our wedding day but there is not a single one we can use.”
This are some of the pictures the couple got from their money:
DISCLAIMER: this pictures and comments are in no way judging the people involved, nor do I want to expose even further this unfortunate story. My only goal here is to make us think about what can happen if you are unprepared and hopefully learn from the other’s mistakes, what is the closest to genius I think we can get. Criticising is easy, while taking the courage to go out and shoot a wedding is not for the faint of heart. (But PLEASE don’t shoot a wedding if you don’t know what you are doing!)
