The Meeting
Yesterday we had another very fun meeting during our Tuesday Photo CHat. If destiny gives us a pandemic, we make a lemonade out of it with our online meetings! The next meeting is on Tuesday.
You can see the full video of our chat and the live 360 videos on the Facebook Page.
I’d like to thank again Ed Leijnse for presenting us with his “black magic” system that is able to tag all your images automatically. More information in this post and a spoiler alert: it is fantastic!

Courses
Please inform me with this tiny-fast survey what you are interested in. For now the most wanted are as follow:
Specific Photo Editing
You select a photo or a look that you like and we reverse engineer it to understand how it is done. Please send photos to Cesar to have them included in the next chats.
Alternatives to Adobe Software
You ask, I make it happen. Daniel Tscharner will present us Capture One during our next meeting, Darktable and others will follow.
Online Photo Resources
This was the most wanted item in our little survey (I sound like insurance telemarketing ? with this one but it is very important to serve you better!) .
The topic is so long and interesting that I made it into a specific pinned post.
Photo CHallenge
The next Photo CHallenge is open and we already have some great images. Submit and vote until the next meeting and we will vote online to choose the next winner. The winner will take 150.- in credits!
Next Assignments
Master Lino had again some great suggestions and we will make it happen. We will make photos everyday from our windows or homes during #isolation and we will join these photos later and maybe curate an exposition or a book. Will you participate? Submit and see the gallery!
Automatic Photo Tagging
Our friend Ed Leijnse presented us a fantastic on-going project that could spare photographers an enormous amount of hours and effort. He is developing a tool that can literally look into your thousand-fold photo libraries and tag all your photos automatically. How incredible would it be to have detailed keywords written with a high confidence match to years of photography without spending days or months to do so?
I sent Ed 50 images with random content ranging from landscapes to close-up portraits. His tagging system could spot the contents of a dish I shot during an event some time ago. I would never invest the time to mark this keyword! Not only would this be a great time saver but it would also greatly improve my catalogues by inserting keywords that I’d never think of.
If you want to see more details please check the video from our chat or contact Ed directly.
Ed also offered to our group FIVE beta-tester slots, so please fill this form if you want to join the development of this great tool. If you would like to participate, please fill the form below. If you are not among the first 5 respondents, Ed will contact you as soon as more openings are available.
The next meeting is already scheduled for next Tuesday, please join us! And if you have any suggestions or ideas please let me know in the comments below or with our little 1-minute survey.
