The Team
On March 29 we had another great #PhotoWalk: models, people photographers, landscape and street photographers all met to have a wonderful stroll around the gorgeous alleys in the neighbourhood. Even though the weather seemed willing to turn on us, a brave group of 26 photographers and 5 models got together and enjoyed a still very pleasant spring evening.
If you want to know more about the next events and join us, you can RSVP in the Meetup Group, see the posts about our meetings and check out our online meetings archives. Also, if you would like to keep informed of all our activities, you can join the soon-to-be-revived newsletter, a monthly-ish email with information about the next events, upcoming projects and photoshoots, opinions, discounts and more.
Do you like what we do and would like to help me bring more content and organize more meetings? That is easy, just check the end of this post!

Walk the Photo Walk
As we had a large and heterogeneous group, we split in two: the street and landscape photogs and the people shooters. Despite my love for #streetphotography, I stayed with the other people photogs to take care of my dear models, as you can see in the great photo by Daniel Tscharner, one of the two amazing people behind the equally amazing 48 Be Visual.
We had two themes suggested as creative starting points or CHallenges for this meeting:
- Minimalism
- Colours
If you want to see more about those themes, check the contents of December’s online meeting in our archives.
The photos from the meeting are shared in our Facebook Group and discussed in our online meetings, you are invited to join us, it is free and lots of fun.
The portrait addicts formed the largest part of the group and moved veeeeery slowly around Niederdorf. We took our time finding angles, poses, graffiti and everything that could help the next best shot. And of course, we had great interactions between our group members and some by-passers. There is certainly a Photo Talk going in parallel with the Photo Walks and that is great!
The Street Photogs had a blast and – of course – were able to walk much further than the other group, all the way to #Grossmünster, where they even got to play with light, and very successfully. You can see one of the great images they produced with #lightpainting, this one created by Adrien Ledoux.
Next Steps
- At our next online meeting, we will share and discuss the photos made during this walk, as well as some other activities that are planned for our group. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to send them in a message, I’d greatly appreciate it.
- On Apr 19th we will have a Photo Critique session
- Apr 26th is already the next Photo Walk, let’s MEET again!
You can check some of the shared photos in the albums in our Facebook Group.
And you certainly should consider joining the next Photo Walk, it is great fun and an amazing opportunity to meet a bunch of very nice people (ok, I’m biased… 🙂
See you all soon!
