Online again!
After so long, we are back with online activities, as requested by many of you. In the past, we had 100+ events and online meetings that were especially significant during the pandemic and isolation. You can discover what we’ve done or relive that fun by browsing through our archives.
During those meetings, we’ve done a lot of fun and instructional activities, learned together, asked questions, developed events, and learning plans, but most of all created the basis for the fantastic community we are today. Some of those unknown photography enthusiasts became close partners for events that outlived those online meetings and even friends that mostly chat during our photowalks.
Some of the most popular activities back then were:
- Photo critique: share photos and discuss them together.
- Photo projects: suggest and develop ideas for photo walks or photography projects.
- Sharing photos from Photo Walks, personal projects and more.
- Industry news: an easy-to-digest news digest from anything and everything related to photography.
- Photo CHallenges: creating themes and challenges for us to photograph. Some CHallenges even became photo competitions with prizes!
- Sharing techniques and knowledge: everyone could bring up questions and ideas for the discussion, and members with more knowledge on the subject would then jump in and share their knowledge.
- Discussing the work and life of renowned photographers, including some completely non-mainstream ones that were not known by most of the participants.
- We even created OUR OWN printed magazine! How cool is that?
- Most of all, it was (and IS) an open space to share opinions and grow together.
You can see those and much more in the archive section of the Blog. Which of those activities would you like us to bring back? And do you have new suggestions that could be explored in upcoming meetings? Please write them in the comments below or shoot me a message.
